There is always more
Life as a student in Malaysia can shrink to lectures, deadlines and the mall. Yet right here in the Klang Valley are communities many students never meet - refugee families and people with no nationality at all.
GO>MORE is AntsEducare’s volunteer programme for university students, both Malaysian and international. It takes you beyond your familiar world to meet people from different cultures, discover the difference you can make through real connection, and grow alongside students from other universities.
Experience → Impact → Influence.
How it works
1. Community Stories - a few minutes at a time
Short online lessons you can do on your phone between classes. Each one follows the same rhythm:
- Discover - this week’s theme, such as “seeing beyond differences”
- Think - a few questions to reflect on
- See - a short, real-life video
- Do - one small action to try this week
The lessons are in English, so they double as reading and listening practice.
2. A 1-to-1 conversation
After the lessons you meet a volunteer for about 30 minutes. Talk about what moved you, your thoughts on labels and differences, and any questions about the community visit. There are no right answers, and it is not an interview.
3. V.BLESS - one Saturday morning a month
Join students from across the Klang Valley at a refugee community centre. You make crafts, draw and play games with the children, then share in a reflection circle. You are briefed before and supported throughout - no special skills needed.
V.BLESS is about four things: meet people, build relationships, bring joy and contribute meaningfully.
What you take away
- Real cross-cultural experience - not tourism, but time in a real community
- New friends from other campuses and other countries
- A path from participant to group leader, if you want it
- A certificate of participation, jointly issued by ElShaddai Centre and AntsEducare
- Social-impact experience linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Many students tell us the best part is not the certificate. It is the children’s smiles that morning.
Is it for me?
GO>MORE is open to any university student in Malaysia, of any nationality and any faith or none. It takes one Saturday morning a month, so it fits around classes and exams.
